Reverse hanging
![]() |
When you find an orange sticker on the box and/or roll delivered to you, it means that the wallcovering needs reverse hanging. Thanks to reverse hanging, shading between different strips of wallcovering is avoided.
But what exactly is meant by "reverse hanging"?
The drawing below may clarify things for you.
When cutting the different strips, the first strip is hung straight. The second strip though is hung in the opposite (reverse) direction. The third strip is hung straight again, and so on.

Not all designs or materials allow this reverse hanging. Therefore it is clearly indicated by an orange sticker on the roll you will receive.

Obtain perfect seams with natural products
Some of our collections are made with natural plant fibres. The nature of these plant fibres, as well as the production process, give the product its charm and unique character. Due to the irregularities of these natural products, it is not always possible to obtain perfect seams, especially for the dark colours. To help avoid the wall surface showing in between the strips, you can paint the wall in a colour similar to the chosen wallcovering. |
Horizontal hanging

For a horizontal hanging, first draw a vertical line with the help of a plump line. Then measure from the ceiling a distance which is 5 cm (2 inches) shorter than the width of the wallcovering and mark that place. With a set square, draw a horizontal line, which will serve as a guideline during the hanging. |
