Environmentally friendly production

Omexco tries to make their products in the most environmentally friendly way possible. Printing pastes used for the production are waterbased, i.e. no solvents, which are harmful to the environment, are used. Before bringing new products into the production process, they are screened on their effects on the environment. If there is any doubt on the environmental effect, they are sent to a laboratory to have them analyzed before deciding to implement them.

Remnants of printing paste after production are collected in containers. A specialised company collects these remnants and disposes of the printing paste wastes according to the best techniques nowadays available.

Still, even though a maximum of printing paste is kept out of the wastewater, small quantities remain. Therefore a water purification station was installed and all waste water is treated before being discharged in the municipal sewage system.

Ecological products

The majoritiy of the Omexco products have an ecological label, meaning that their different components do not exceed following criteria:

A. Formaldehyde: 12 mg/100g (< 5 ppm)

B. Heavy metals:

Antimony: 20 mg/kg
Arsenic: 3 mg/kg
Barium: 500 mg/kg
Cadmium: 3 mg/kg
Chromium (VI): 20 mg/kg
Lead: 20 mg/kg
Mercury: 20 mg/kg
Selenium: 10 mg/kg

C. Vinyl chloride: 0,2 mg/kg
