The name of a gemstone was chosen for Omexco's non-woven range "Onyx": a fine-grained variety of mineral chalcedony, which has alternating parallel layers of different colours, including white, brown and black. The link with the gemstone is of course the printing technique, using different layers of colours, sometimes contrasting, sometimes matching, always giving depth and structure to the wallcovering. But Omexco didn't limit the colour range to the common shades of Onyx - the colours vary from warm colours like coral red, hot lava, brick, red and yellow copper enhanced with a touch of gold, over soft creamy and pearly colours, to a palette of cool blue, lavender and green shades. |
