"Katsura", Imperial Villa in the Southeast of Kyoto (Japan), was the inspiration for the creation of this collection of printed textile warps. The stroll garden of Katsura Villa, composed around a large pond and representing scenes of sea, mountains, streams, fields, rice paddies etc... contains several original bamboo fences and hedges. Bamboo is the central theme of the collection "Katsura", either figurative, or stylized. Sober geometric designs complete the range. The colour range comprises natural bamboo green and brown, azalea pink, stone grey, warm terra cotta, sunny yellow, and even the silvery white colour of the moon above the pond at Katsura, against the dark sky. |
